welcome back to school

Couldn't sleep the other night.. Apparently im used to sleeping at 1am or even later during the holidays, and sleeping at that hour on a school night is a Big no-no.
So yeah, I kept yawning during lessons and not having my fullest attention on the teacher..

Well, it wasn't that bad because alot of students and unfortunately, mrs peh(i think) is currently on LOA..so i think the teachers are trying to minimize the teaching.. And of course, the temperature taking took so much time-and will always be..like, 1 and a half period was gone.
This H1N1 thing is such a fuss.
yes,I think that's the hottest topic now, well, there's also the Micheal Jackson's death. poor fellow..[WE WILL MISS YOU!]
But yeah, Singapore was already added into the 'affected countries' list so i guess there will be alot of news about that.

Oh and about my homework.... I am not done with it.
i know, i know. i should have done all of it during that 1month break but.....never mind. sigh.

get together!

watched transformer2 with sweetie at Cineleisure Orchard. it was sooo cool!
went to his house ,reached home around 9pm, and when i was about to sit down, my dad told us to get ready for a beach party at pasir ris park.
it wasn't exactly a beach party. we didn't even feel like we're in the beach.
my childhood friends and i did some recalling about the past... like, when we were 8 years old?
All the embarrassing moments and some secrets we kept from each other was being voiced out.
hahaha.
ahh, the good old memories(:

Sorry for the short post..got to rush.
Buh-bye(:

a note

I tagged him in facebook but he was too shy to post it.

Dear Jannine,
I love you.
You have (a) nice good choice of picking a boyfriend.
You make me wanna drool.
You should come over and cook for me.
Someday I will marry you.
You + me = forever and ever, AMEN.
If I saw you now I'd hug tightly.
I want to watch transformer with you.
I would build a sandcastle for you to stay in just for you.
If I could sing you any song it would be always and for ever by hillsong.
We could use binoculars under the stars.

Love,
your one and only, DEANE

(P.S. blog this also can, if you want.)

Oh and I am NOT GOING (going/not going) to post this under my notes and see what you write about me.

ain't he adorable? hahaha.

give yourself away

Nothing has such a positive impact on a person as giving to others.
And people who have a giving spirit are some of the most positive people i know.
That's because giving is the highest level of living.
They focus their time and energy on what they can give to others rather than what they can get from them.
And the more a person gives, the better his attitude.
Most unsuccessful people don't understand this concept.
They believe that how much people give and their attitude about it are based on how much they have.
But that's not true.
I know many people who have very little but are tremendous givers.
And i know people who have been blessed with money, good families, and wonderful careers who are stingy and suspicious of others.
In life, it's not what you have that makes a difference.
It's what you do with what you have.
And that is based completely on attitude.
Your road map for success
-think about it
Oh and the previous post was actually posted yesterday, not on tuesday

tiring yet fun!

Today's practice was as usual..but nothing has change..

Excitement and fear fill our hearts.
Soon a new way of life will start.
Three years have almost past.
But in our mind the memories last.

We've been through it all.
And realized who are true friends are.
The one that was there.
When no one else seemed to care.

After band practice, had a movie marathon with sweetie. watched 3 movies back-to-back and i've learned that he get scared easily! hahaha
And did i mention that he's a good cook?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
21June[Sunday]-that day was the reason why my legs are aching, and it still is! so don't ask again.

THE FAMILY AMAZING RACE

Even though my parents couldn't make it(coz they have to entertain my aunt who is here from phil), it was still great!
The Boquren family(joshua &tito jojo) + The Gamayot family(me, lyza & deah) = The Boqyot family? haha, doesn't sound very nice.

Anyway,we were just called the light blue team.
Around 8am, reached CAEC to register and had praise&worship... and the race began.
There were like, 12 pit stops? So i won't elaborate.
It was a good thing we were allowed to travel by public transport(except taxi) but there were still alot of running and walking.
So yeah..
And no,we weren't the last.(we've still got time to find a missing cell phone. deahdeah)

Anyway, it was so kind of Tito Jojo to treat us for dinner at his restaurant. I ordered halo-halo and, was it tapsilog? yeah, something like that.. yummy!
JOLOGS have the greatest food and you'll guaranty leave with a smile on your face. Literally!-well, because i've been observing the people for the past few months, and they really had that big smile. haha.

aaww, and you were back.
thankyou so much for the gift(:

i ♥ fridays

Kamilia's shirt read,

i fridays

yes,i think im gonna agree with that because it's that one day which you can feel relaxed and not worry about doing homework or other stressful stuff related to school and may think of procrastinating without being scolded.
But if your parents are the those 'caring type', then that's a different story..

haha, enough talk.

Had band practice today and i had a theory.
Some or should i say, MOST people treat different people differently..
Well, the 'strict' one didn't come today and well, he actually told us that beforehand, so people start making excuses not to come and made the practice a slacky one. Some people stop taking instructions and like, wth? they seriously have no respect! Somebody should give them a lesson or 2 on respect-starting from the basic. seriously.
pity the 'kind' one.
it's just not right to take advantage of this kind of people...

O.K, maybe some of you reading this might not be on the same page as i am so...

fast forward>>>>>

After practice, went to Plaza Sing( again? haha, i don't know why i always end up going there. Change of mall, please and thank you)
Went there with deah, kamill and kamilia to catch a movie. They wanted to watch the Hannah Montana the movie and yes, i watched it already but it wouldn't hurt if i watched it twice.
Besides, that movie is not bad. v touching, actually.
But don't get me wrong, i am not, i repeat, not a fan of her.
Better stop myself before i discriminate
haha

Anyway,i had a great time with those girls.
HYPER AS ALWAYS.

i wanna grow taller!!

Finally, i was waiting for this day to come.
Not because I'm going out somewhere special or anything, but I'll be able to finally stay at home the entire day and just do my homework and maybe do some research on useful stuff, which i did.

How to Grow taller Naturally
In today's society, it is an unfortunate but true fact that those of us are SHORT often face a range of daily problems directly attributed to their short stature.
This includes both social and work based situations where you may feel a lack of respect or maybe even looked down upon in more than just a physical way!(yes, i sooo agree with this sentence)
Well, don't just panic yet. Regardless of the stage in your life, it is possible for you to grow taller naturally.
Scientific studies have proven that a combination of specific nutrition, correct 'grow taller' exercises, adopting a good posture and eliminating any current posture problems and also the right amount of rest and recuperation will help you boost your height and grow taller naturally!
So don't be discourage my dear short ones. Who knows, maybe someday you'll be taller than some of your tall friends(:

awkward

A.W.K.W.A.R.D
It can mean that your not relaxed or comfortable or difficult to do,use or deal with something.
But today was a not-sure-what-to-do-or-say kind of awkward.
Met Carrie,Joyce, xuan feng, fang jun, Kenneth, shaun, gek peng and Joan at Ehub for some sort of 'primary6 classmates' gathering.
Imagine that.
You don't contact your long lost friends or chat with them on msn or see them for over 3years and suddenly, you all meet up for a talk.
I mean, come on. How awkward can that get?

It was a good thing i remembered most of their names. But unfortunately, i couldn't remember Fang Jun. He totally changed.
You know we used to call him potato, but i guess we can't say that anymore. ha ha.
Played arcade-well, the guys did. Ate Hershey's sundae pie.
Yum! i just looove chocolate!
And everyone was so quiet.
Like, i think i said, 'so...' million times because maybe, they were shy and all but that made it even more awkward.
I had to ask random questions just so we could start a conversation. Very unlike me.
Update ourselves about our life and played 'truth or dare'
popular game, isn't it?

Tuesday, June 16, 2009 - 6:59 PM
west to east

Got a wake up call from Ate Iris( 'Ate' means elder sis, jiejie, kaka-yes, u got the picture)
Yeah, and i was suppose to meet her at 10am but my butt was still on my bed.
I don't know why, but i keep going to Plaza Sing nowadays. i just went there yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. And today I'm going there, AGAIN.
yupp, don't know whats up with me and that mall...

Anyway, I ended up meeting her at 11am.
Had lunch at Long John Silver, talked, and window shopped.
I don't know about you, but i think window-shopping can kill you. They make you see the good stuff and you eventually have to leave without it. It makes me go crazy, sometimes.
haha.
Oh and we went to YAMAHA and i just love the guitars there. And i saw this really cool keyboard!-Stagea Custom ELS-o1C. I always wanted a keyboard and i think it's the right time to buy coz there's a great music sale!
[22may-26July 2009]
Had a great time with Ate Iris today(:

After that,i went straight to E!HUB to meet Danielle for a movie date. Watched Hannah Montana the movie, requested by her and it was awesome.
i know it's girly and all but there's lessons learnt.
Miley's dad takes the teen home to Crowly Corners,Tenn., for a dose of reality, kicking off an advantage filled with the kind of fun, laughter and romance.
After the movie, walked around and talked.
Danielle was really, really funnay! i kept laughing whenever she talks.
She always had that British accent and that dramatic expressions. I just don't know why some people can be so mean...
Ordered a mango snow shake from Cup Walker and talked some more.
Had a great time with her(:
Get Well Soon,Danielle
And i thought i was going to spend time with my classmates today-Marcus and Gillian):

Awesome

Wanted to sleep some more, but couldn't. Got the Monday Blues, i suppose. Yawn*
Had to leave home at 7.30am for band practice.
I always had,or should i say, HAVE the feeling of reluctance whenever i get ready for practice but it turned out to be really enjoyable when we start playing.

Ghost Fleet by Robert Sheldon is a really nice piece if u could play it well, that is.
There were some sounds, finally. But there's still so many things to be done.

Happy Birthday, Kevin(:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh and yesterday[14 June], was an awesome day.
O.k, maybe not THAT awesome coz SOMEBODY had to leave the country for 1whole week. Sigh.
But other than that, it was pretty good. Met Shane, Ruth, martin, lyza, angel and Ann. And i tell u, the weather was super hottt!
It was way hotter than before, and we, earthlings, should worry. Somebody do something! Plant more trees, stop destroying forests, limit the cars... Whatever.
OK, so we took bus81 to kovan and headed for PA(yfc)

PA was great. Met this new girl, Diane, and she's good at influencing people. She kept using her favourite word, 'AWESOME' and now, some of us can't stop saying that word.
she's good at making people laugh too. Haha.

After PA, people started jamming and made a 'mini concert'. So random. Who knew they were so hyper that day! lyza, deah and I had to rush to Holy Trinity for mass. And it was already 6.30pm so we thought that there was no point attending.. Or at least, lyza convinced me..

Oh and guess what?

This man was asking if we would like to help raise funds for the new building of the Church of Divine Mercy and of course, we said yes.
So he gave us this yellow cards and we started walking around, asking people for donations.
I actually felt so felt so rejected at first coz some people walked away when i was still talking to them.
Yes, discouraging, but after for awhile, people started donating. This woman even gave 50bucks!
How generous is that?!
Total amount collected in less than 2hours:$115!
U guys are awesome people:DD

Happy Birthday, Sean(:
Around 8pm,my whole family and including lyza went to Plaza Singapura to meet Sean and his family for a birthday dinner at the MANHATTAN fish market.
Oh and how awesome the food was. De-licious!

Saturday, June 13, 2009 - 10:26 PM
You've turn 17!

HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY!!

Left house at exactly 1.45pm, met the birthday boy after day camp at genesis. Actually there was a fashion show today but i missed it, and it was totally worth it.
We went around town, and finally went to Plaza Sing to catch a 3.30 movie, Drag me to hell. If you're the type of person who have wild imaginations and get scared easily, i advice u not to watch-he even got scared!(i think) You won't know when the old lady might appear, so when she does, it'll give u a fright! Oh and goodness me, the sound effects made it worst!
And unlike most movies, it has a sad ending. The girl eventually went to hell..Geez.. Why wouldn't she check the envelope first??!! Haha, but overall, the movie was nice.
Around 7plus, went to Gericho's place. Ate and met his friends. It's so good to finally meet them again...missed u guys(:

Oh and have a safe journey tomorrow. Have fun and take care
Gonna miss you

Grounded. sob*

Sorry for not blogging this past few days..
because there's nothing much to say..

And why is that so?
Because i was grounded for God-knows-how-many-days..
Naughtynaughty-not exactly
well, parents said that I've been going out everyday.. as in, hanging out with friends or something like that..
but technically,i wasn't really 'going out'. There's band practices(finally finished my practical test. thank God) and there's cases where i have to company people to places and so on..
So it doesn't count, does it?

Yeah,so i had a pretty boring week.

Monday and Thursday- band practice
Sir was lecturing us on character development because of something which made him pissed.
and he continues with his old stories of his. It was kinda meaningful

note*
Big things come in small packages-think about it

Oh and we are finally learning a new song. yay!
Ghost Fleet by Robert Sheldon

Tuesday-t.v marathon
i was a couch potato for the whole entire day.
no mood to do anything, felt pathetic

Wednesday-went shopping with family at jourong point1 and 2
does that mean I'm not grounded anymore? maybe they forgot..
Dad was showing off his design
and spent more than 500bucks on clothes and shoes
nah, parents owe us that coz it's been months since i went shopping.
can't wait for tomorrow(:

Food crisis. Oh and backstage passes are the coolest!

OK, from the very beginning..
My little bro woke me up around 7 in the morning just so we could eat breakfast at Holy Trinity Church.
There was a Food and Fun Fair and to tell u the truth, i was more interested on the food.
So yeah, spent all on the food. Yum!

After the super heavy breakfast-oh when i say heavy, it's really heavy! Ate spaghetti, fries, lumpia, desserts like fruits and ice cream. OK, i should stop now..I'm only scaring myself.
went home first so mom could have her sleep.

After that, went to Hong Lim Park for the 111th Philippines Independence Day Celebration.
The good thing was, my uncle has backstage passes so we were allowed to go in and meet the Filipino artists like, Diether Ocampo, Marvin Agustin, Jennelyn Mercado, Tuesday Vargas(the funny one), Mark Bautista, RJ Jimenez(from pinoy dream academy) and many more!
I'll try uploading the pictures next time coz it's not with me right now..

Oh and also met Deane Angelo and Isaac Tng. Ha ha, i can see that Isaac was bored after a short while coz he couldn't understand a thing.
One thing to highlight... Both of them said i GAINED WEIGHT! I think that's a polite way of saying, i'm fat.
oh no..
Time to cut down my diet..

On the way home, stopped at Geylang to buy some fresh fruits.. De-licious!
It was so sweet and nice. Unlike some places..not insulting or anything.
After eating like, more than 7 rambutans and mango steins, remembered what Deane and Isaac said few hours ago, so i quickly put the fruits back..
so sad.

News update

I was reading The Strait Times(Jannine? reading the newspaper?!-that's the first). Yeah, i couldn't believe it too. I was just merely killing time coz apparently, mom's still sleeping and she promised me she'll take me shopping today. So yeah..
Newspaper reports can be quite interesting actually.. From couples getting married on 'zero gravity'-so cool!( they will be saying 'i do' upside down! hahaha) to some serious cases like H1N1 flu and economic boom.

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health has confirmed another two H1N1 flu cases, bringing to 14 the total number of cases so far. Both patients have relatively mild symptoms and are in stable condition.

The 13th case is a 23—year—old Singaporean man who went to Melbourne on May 27 and developed symptoms in the early hours of June 3 while he was still there.

The 14th patient is a 22—year—old Singaporean woman who is a cabin crew with Singapore Airlines.

Yeah, all those people who were effected by this flu traveled out of Singapore so I guess we shouldn't do the same.
Take care, people(:

Oh, another report caught my eyes.

Stanley Druker is now the holder of a world record for the longest career as a clarinetist-Oh i just love the clarinet..
For like, 62 years?!Yupp, that's long..
The new Guinness record was announced just after his performance, with the text: " The longest career as a clarinetist was achieved by Stanley Druker(USA, born February 4, 1929) who performed professionally for 62years, 7months, 1 day as of June4, 2009"
Good o'l man(:

After reading, watched 'Friday the 13th'[1985] on Ate melody's laptop( FYI, Ate means big sis in Tagalog, so don't get wrong. ha ha)
It was not the whole movie..She went to this website,

http://www.justin.tv/directory/entertainment?kind=live&order=hot&lang=en&page=1

Yeah, so u can check it out.
And Gawd, the movie we watched was so gruesome. This insane dude was going around killing people, one by one. It's a mixture of comedy and horror.
Ha ha, OK, maybe not much of a comedy.. It's just that Ate melody would say something funny after the scary scenes.. Hahaha

Okay, look at the time..
I better check if mom's still sleeping. I need to go shopping badly:(

Friday, June 5, 2009 - 7:17 PM
It didn't went right.

Look at them..they're soo bored!

Eerr, coz our plan didn't go as planned..
From Pasir Ris park to E!hub, to tampines. We spent most of the time walking and thinking where to go next.. And poor Jessica! She spent alot of time downloading movies but it couldn't open in Hafiz's laptop. And there was no place for us to settle in.
So yeah,it didn't went well. But still, i get see my beloved friends:DD
Oh and Lostprophets ROCK! i think I'm beginning to love this kind of music.
Thanks,sweetie, for introducing:DD

Monday, June 1, 2009 - 7:35 PM
holidays are here!

It's the June Holidays!! Yipee..
okay, maybe not.. i don't think i have any exciting plans or whatever..
Band practice, homework, hangout and more band practices.
Yeah,so it's not like a 1 month kind of thing.

Hmm,
Last day of school(4days ago)was quite a busy one.
We collected our report books, and sad to say, it wasn't up to my expectations..
Cleaned the classroom-took my table all the way to the toilet to wash it thoroughly, making sure it's super clean! Ha HA. i need to have a clean table to study well. Andrea and i even cleaned the wood thingy which is connected to the white board. You know, where the teachers put their markers and duster.
We could finally see the wood! It was all black at first..eww.
And straight after school, had to finish rehearsing and preparing for the investiture the next day.
So yeah, i was stucked in the music room the whole afternoon.
